History of the Association-Museum Beniamino Gigli

The Association "Circolo del bel canto-Museum Beniamino Gigli" was born in Monfalcone the 25th of October 1985, thanks to the passion of the collector Antonio Doria who has furnished the original materials about the renewed tenor.

The aim of the Association-Museum is to let the youngest and the less young people know the opera. So many cultural trips are organized, like those ones to Verona for the opera-season, to Recanati, the birth-town of Beniamino Gigli, to Torre del Lago, the town of Puccini; opera-concerts are also planned in Monfalcone, Recanati, Trieste, Grado, Gorizia, Staranzano, Ronchi dei Legionari, Vienna, Porto Recanati, Roma, Ancona, Cormons.

When the Museum is open, (from 5.30 to 8 P.M. on Monday and Thursday), You can listen to some opera-music and watch some movies with Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Mario Lanza, Tagliavini, Tito Schipa, Beniamino Gigli and many others.

The actual president is Orlando Manfrini, who plans every event with the thecnical director Antonio Doria.
